Organizational History

Bridges to Prosperity was initially launched as One Body Collaboratives which was established as a 501(c)3 in 2010. In 2016, the organization acquired Love INC of Greater Rockford and inherited a collaborative of Christian churches working together to meet needs in the community.

The organization hired its first full-time staff member, Mary Cacioppi, in 2017 as a member of its Leadership Team. In 2018, Mary was promoted to Executive Director. In 2021, the organization moved to our current location inside Forest City Church, located at 1280 S Alpine Road in Rockford. In August 2024, we began doing business as Bridges to Prosperity Northern Illinois to better reflect the work of the organization. The organizational footprint was also expanded to Northern Illinois and Mary Cacioppi was named as the Founder & CEO of the organization.

Through Mary’s leadership the organization has continued to evolve and was officially renamed Bridges to Prosperity Northern Illinois.
